This is a training pattern that gives you waiting time to relax - or turn clubs etc.
- A: 1|2
- B: 1|1
Each passer waits for the incoming pass and reacts with "self, pass".
- Exercise for both hands (recommended): A passes diagonal, B passes straight.
- 4-count like passes only right hand: A and B both pass straight
This exercise can be done for zaps, single passes and double passes.
Additional Things to Do
With Zaps
- If one does straight passes, the other does diagonal passes, this is "Killer Bunny":
Name: Killer Bunny
Siteswap: 645
While you wait with only 2 clubs, you can do a single-turn flip with the hand that won't receive the pass from your partner.
- both do straight passes:

A: R L R L (hand) A: 2p 3 2p 3 B: L R L R B: 3 2p 3 2p (hand)
With Single Passes
- you can do self, zip with the two clubs. The zip goes to the hand that has to catch the next incoming pass
- try to do the zip behind your back
- you can do flip, flip (single flip done first with one, then with the other hand). The hand that receives the next pass should do the first flip
With Double Passes
- you can do a self, zip, self, zip with the two clubs. The zip goes to the hand that has to catch the next incoming pass
- try to do the zip behind your back
- you can do heff, zip, zip with the two clubs. The zip should end up in the hand that receives the next pass.
