Doublepass-zip

From jugglingpatterns

Basically, this is the pattern that you get, when during a 7 club 2-count you drop one club and instead of a self, you fill the gap by doing a zip. Of course, this also means one side can do zips with one club less, while the other does selfs. Or expresed differently: you can mix patterns so that one juggler does a 7 club 2-count while the other does this -club pattern.

This has two major differences to the 7 club 2-count:

a) It's two clubs less and a much easier to control zip instead of a self. Also the incoming self often is too short and in the way of the double pass you want to throw and additionally

b) The zip means you still have to go backwards with your hand to the side of your knee much more consciously than you would after a regular catch of a self, which is already half-way to the correct start of a throw.

Pattern Description

A starts with 3 clubs and throws a double pass, while B starts two clubs in the left hand and begins with a zip to the right had at the same time as A.
