Zapnips (Zaps on Parsnips) Family

From jugglingpatterns

"Zapnips" are patterns based on the Selfless Passing series and specifically based on Parsnip, but some of the passes are changed to a kind of "early zap".

All the patterns based on Parsnip in this way stay compatible with parsnip.

Difficulty

With the patterns I included so far:

  • "technical" difficulty: easy to medium
  • "lyrics" difficulty: medium to hard (5 different things on a period 5 pattern in one case)

Patterns based on Parsnip (5 clubs)

The local base pattern sequence of Parsnip for a juggler is PPzPz (Pass, Pass, zip, Pass, zip).

Every combination "pass, zip" can be switched to become "Flip, Zap", leading to these three seqences:

(Flips are thrown as flats in the animation shown here, but are supposed to be [[flip]s, this will be fixed at some point in the future. Passist.org shows flips instead)

  • PFZPz - 77425
  • PPzFz - 74752
  • PFZFZ - Sir Zaphod Flipalot (Jr.) - 57445

We can also go one step further on the "PPz" part, transforming both Passes into Zaps, the zip becomes a Self.

  • SZZPz - 56752

And this can of course be combined with Flip-Zap on the ramaining Pass-Zip:

  • SZZFZ - 55564
