5-count vs doublepass, self, zip, self - 9667266666
Pre-requisite
- solid 3 club cascade for both sides, more specifically
- Solid 5-count
- Some other pattern containing the sequence "self zip".
- If you haven't done either 5 club 3-count (async) - 7446464 starting with just one self-zip sequence instead of two may be a good start.
- if you can run Coconut laden swallow - 726 continuously, you are more than prepared. The self-zip here is easier.
Sibling Pattern
This is the sibling pattern to 5-count with double passes vs pass, self, zip, self, self - 7966266666.
The patterns differ in which side of the pattern has a self-zip to create a matching pattern of double passes with single passes that resembles a 5-count
Pattern Description
This is a very nice and good practice pattern, designed to help you transition from n-count type patterns to throwing double passes.
Straight passes (both sides): A starts with a double pass, B starts a bit later with a self from the left hand and a pass and then has what seems like a regular 5-count.
Diagonal passes (both sides): A starts with a double pass, B starts a bit later with a self from the right hand and a pass and then has what seems like a regular 5-count.
A2|1: D S Z S S B1|2: S P S S S
P = single pass
D = double pass
S = self
Z = zip
Additional Things To Do
- Obviously, the side with single passes can throw early doubles, if the pattern feels comfortable.
- The side with single passes and 4 regular selfs can replace any 3 of the 4 selfs with 441 (heff, heff, zip) or 531 (triple, self, zip)
- The self-zip can be switched against [[flip]-flip
- The zip can be done behind the back

In this pattern, we have two different roles. Adding or removing one self from the pattern, we get patterns where both jugglers get to have both roles in sequence:
